Ministry Update 5.18.25

One highlight of my week this week was speaking at my aunt Karen’s funeral service in Nevada, Iowa. I shared some thoughts from 1 Corinthians 13, and then posted a blog with those thoughts afterwards.

To highlight the effect of the clean water projects, we have at times showed pictures or video of the ladies of the community singing and dancing, as they have an idea how much this effort is going to improve their lives.

We are going slowly and deliberately region by region this year. It is SO much work for our team in Zambia!! One of the ways we spread the work is by enlisting trusted current participants to help us. In this next picture, brother Chickwanda Mbewe is delivering maize per our instructions to a NEW church community and documenting the process.

These are deacons and deaconnesses from a church community new to our distribution system in the Mambwe Region knows as “Fountain of Love.”

We were able to collect another $5,000 towards the already beginning harvest effort this week. We are nearing the level where my spreadsheets currently say we would like to be to accomplish the desired growth level for this year, but don’t let that stop you!! Anything we receive over that level will be set aside for our INPUTS fundraiser later in the year. One more reminder how our desire to provide something more SUSTAINABLE in the maize production area actually evolved into our current INPUT/HARVEST cycle that we are so excited about. Even more excited since brother Tracy has really gone above and beyond to spend most of the growing season in Zambia this year. We hope to follow his lead into the fall inputs season and see where we can partner with ZIAP for training and provision.

Shoulder 2 Shoulder is LOVE in action every day! As 1 John 3:18 (The MESSAGE): My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality.
