Ministry Update 4.13.25

April 13, 2025

This week we sent April funds over, as expected. I couldn’t resist a separate blog post midweek when we got our first HARVEST pictures in from Mambwe, Zambia. That kind of stole my thunder for this update!

I am fairly focused on the harvest, and there are LOTS of moving parts right now.

This week, some of our team are going east. Thomas and Matthews are dropping Lamec off in Sinda to oversee our 21st – and fourth of 2025 – clean water project. Lamec will then double back to check on the fields in Petauke that were involved in the ZIAP project, while Thomas and Matthews keep driving east to Chipata. The primary objective there is to meet with several Chipata area pastors that are on the wait list to be a part of our distribution network.

All three of those efforts – in Sinda, Petauke and Chipata – are so important to our ability to further our mission in Zambia. The five guys on our team do such a great job representing S2S! While only one is, himself, a pastor, all of the pastors in our distibution network appear to have so much respect for these young guys!

Left to right, this is Matthews, Pastor Nguni, our Ghanaian son Ahmed (now living in Columbus, Ohio and serving on the S2S board with Rog and me), Thomas, Isaac, Lamec and me during our August trip. This picture was taken on the one day we allowed for seeing a little bit of the beauty of Africa. Unfortunately you can’t see the hippos bathing behind us.
